Electron impact collision strengths for excitation and ionisation of neutral lithium,
suitable for use in modelling lithium beams.

The data is used in Asdex Upgrade modelling and was assembled by J Schweinzer and
E Wolfrum and supplied to ADAS by K Igenbergs.

The data is described in: J Schweinzer et al, 'DATABASE FOR INELASTIC COLLISIONS OF
LITHIUM ATOMS WITH ELECTRONS, PROTONS, AND MULTIPLY CHARGED IONS', Atomic Data and
  Nuclear Data Tables, vol 72, p 239 (1999)
  DOI: 10.1006/adnd.1999.0815

The data is supplied as fits to calculated data or experimental results. For n=2,3 the
primary source for excitation is the converged close coupling calculations (CCC) of
I Bray. The 4l-4l' transitions are scaled Born cross sections.

The ionisation data is also from a CCC calculation with n=4 levels given by the
  Lotz formula.
